Title: Hillside with Arc

Description: Pastel on paper, 1974. Signed and dated lower right. This is a beautiful early work from Blackburn and sets the tone for the coming years when he would explore the landscape around him as well as the atmosphere and light and the changing times of day.  There is a calmness that pervades. There is a slight undulation to the right hand side of the paper and could benefit from re-mounting, although it is well framed.
