Bernard Leach

A Bernard Leach hand-written poem Barnaloft, sent to Pamela Chandler, high-society photographer and friend of Leach’s.

Barnaloft was written by Leach in 1965 for the poet, Kathleen Raine. It was first published in Leach’s book, Drawings, Verse and Belief, printed in 1973 by Jupiter Books and then in a 1977 edition with revised text and additional poems.

This copy of the poem is written on thin Japon paper.

Dimensions: 16.5 x 25 cm (Page 1) 15 x 25 cm (Page 2) One side has a fold of 1.5 cm in width the length of the page.
