Believing in visually arresting pop culture

Ralph Steadman

Title: Barbaracastella

Description: Lithograph dating back to around 1968 which depicts the Labour politician Barbara Castle envisioned as the current hit movie of the day, Barbarella. I have only ever seen one before and it is in the National Portrait Gallery. Ralph has signed it and added a pure inky splat to the poster. Unbelievably rare in this form. A few bumps, edge creases and dented corners and the odd mark on the paper itself but in surprisingly good condition.

Dimensions: 76 x 50 cm (unframed)
