Bernard Leach

Autograph Letter Signed (‘Bernard Leach’) to Reynolds Sharp, on the attractive printed stationery of The Leach Pottery in St. Ives, Cornwall. The renowned potter, regarded as the ‘father of British studio pottery’, replies to his relative’s letter, which had been a surprise to receive. Leach remarks that he knows St. Tudy, ‘in old days I’ve camped with the boys on the moors close by and one of my old students – Michael Cardew – has the Wenford Bridge Pottery. I am hoping to get there & see how he is getting on as soon as the summer rush subsides’
