Peter Blake (b. 1932)
A founding figure of British Pop Art, Sir Peter Blake is celebrated for his vibrant collages, paintings, and prints blending popular culture, nostalgia, and art history. Trained at the Royal College of Art, he rose to fame in the 1960s with works drawing on music, advertising, and ephemera, most famously co-designing the Beatles’ Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band album cover. His art, infused with wit and curiosity, has left a lasting mark on post-war British art.
