Liam Hanley

(1933-2019)

By and large a self-taught artist who worked in a lyrical manner and created magical pictures based on the natural world. His works are Romantic images which were initially inspired by the landscape of Wales, where he grew up . When he discovered a pocket of the English Home Counties countryside in Royston, Hertfordshire, he knew he had found another world to continually inspire him and give him what he needed for his beautiful compositions for the rest of his life. Musicality, surrealism and even constructivism inform his beautiful work.
