Faile
Faile are comprised of New York artists Patrick McNeil and Patrick Miller. Their work can be found all over the world and their art is as comfortable in the urban surroundings of a city’s streets as in a home. Their recurring use of comic layouts, found imagery and collage, are part of their trademark. They continue to question the world around them.
1986 is written on most of Faile’s prints. This commemorates the year of the Challenger disaster, when the space shuttle exploded on take-off, becoming NASA’s worst space disaster. It serves as a reminder of those events and also implies the importance of the event in the lives of the artists. The shuttle appears regularly in their work throughout the years.
