Faile

Faile is the collaborative name of New York artists Patrick McNeil and Patrick Miller. Their work, seen on streets and in galleries worldwide, moves effortlessly between urban grit and refined interiors. Known for their recurring use of comic-book layouts, found imagery, and layered collage, Faile create visually rich, thought-provoking pieces that question the world around them. Many works feature “1986,” a reference to the Challenger space shuttle disaster — NASA’s worst — which profoundly shaped the artists’ lives. The shuttle itself recurs throughout their work as both memorial and symbol.
