Ana Maria Pacheco was born in Brazil and since 1973 has lived and worked in the UK. Her work is influenced by Brazilian folklore, the supernatural and mystical and a common theme of her work is travel. Thee is a mysterious tone to much of her work and seems to be asking the big questions.
