Robin Welch

(1936-2019)

Robin Welch studied art in the 50’s in Cornwall and Saint Martin’s in London. Between 153 and 1959 worked at the famous Leach Pottery and moved to Australia before returning to the UK in 1965 and set up the Stradbroke Pottery in Eye, Suffolk.

He travelled all over the world soaking in influences and turning his inspirations into ceramics, which were often decorated in bold and painterly strokes. His work is a lasting legacy to his imagination.
